The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is located at the heart of Downtown Toronto over at Front Street West. It is within walking distance from the waterfront. It is Canada’s foremost trade show and convention facility. It was built and completed in 1984 and has over 600,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space. An underground addition was designed by Bregman +Hamann Architects to the south side to expand its convention space in 1997 to be what it is now. Today the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is home to the world class, John Basset Theater that can seat 1330 guests at one time and is located at the North Building. It is a self-contained area that has its own separate comfortable lobby and entrance located at the Front Street. It also has adjacent rooms that offer convenience for pre and post performance receptions. The John Basset Theater also has Showtech Productions under its wing to assist clients with their staging needs.

The North Building also has a 14,000 square foot registration area with a Guest Services Desk and a pre-function space worth 85,000 square feet and has electrical and telecommunication services fully available. The South Building on the other hand offers a 42,500 square foot registration space complete with fully electrical and telecommunication services and a Guest Services Desk as well. Its pre-function space is worth 82,000 square feet worth of carpeted area and is also fully electrical with telecommunication services ready to serve its guests. The Metro Toronto has 64 fully carpeted meeting rooms that cover a total area of 104,000 square feet of space. The two large ballrooms, which are the Constitution Hall at the North Exhibit Hall and Halls F and G of the South Exhibit Halls, are meant for bigger meetings and conventions that make up 78,000 square feet of space combined. It is the yearly home of the NHL awards and the Fan Expo. The MTCC also has 1,700 indoor parking slots available and over 10,000 more parking spaces within about a kilometer away from the venue operated by different parking companies.

Located in Toronto East on Lake Ontario. This neighbourhood was made for more than just dog fanatics. There is a surprisingly low amount of fitness clubs, most likely due to the fact that the Beaches community tries to keep big business out of the once bohemian and now family neighbourhood. The best part about this area is hands down, the boardwalk/bike path which runs in to Ashbridges Bay. Along the way you will find monkey bars, gymnastic rings and chin up bars. Even the sandy beach makes a great spot for sprints, to develop superb hamstrings! Queen East in the Beach is home to at least two fitness stores, The Running Room and Enduro Sport. As well as health food stores, multiple yoga studios and enough organic fair trade coffee shops to keep you caffeinated for years.

The best selling point here is High Park, which is the largest park in the city at almost 400 acres. There are so many things to do in High Park such as the running, cycling, baseball, tennis and swimming. High Park also hosts many charity races such as The Harry Rosen 8k Spring Run-Off. If you are in the area in the late spring check out the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Beautiful! Then grab a bite to eat in the park cafe. On Bloor West you will find The Running Room, Cycle Shops, Health Food Stores, Sports Injury clinics etc. This is definitely a location for a fitness buff.

You can still walk to the lake for a running path but if your fitness style involves having a gym then you are most definitely in luck! In the downtown core there is at least two gyms on every corner. Sometimes one on top of the other! You can have your pick of the big ones such as Goodlife or Extreme. Or take your choice of the small studios, and privately owned fitness clubs. Since they are numerous, the competition is tough and you will most likely get a great deal on monthly and yearly memberships. As for fitness stores and eats, you are right downtown. The Eaton Centre alone has a Sport Check, Athletes World and Foot Locker.

Take the Ferry to The Toronto Islands. This is an amazing spot to go for the day. The Toronto Islands is 230 hectares of bike paths, parks and a Frisbee Golf (Frolf) game. The biggest recreational attraction is Centreville, an amusement park for the kiddies. The Toronto Islands is the largest urban car-free community in North America. Even to go for a walk to check out the unique cottages is worth the visit alone! Good luck buying or renting here though. There is a waiting list in addition to extremely strict selling guidelines. All of these neighbourhoods are relatively safe and friendly. Even if you are not looking to move, take a fitness day trip to enjoy the gorgeous Toronto summers while getting fit at the same time.

Toronto is the most populous city of Canada with mainly English-speaking populace. It is situated northwest of Lake Ontario with which it shares a long shoreline. It has rich ethnic and cultural diversity making it a truly global city. It is also a major financial center of the world and diverse economic activities are conducted. The city has humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold winters. The variance in climatic conditions has resulted in the construction of climate controlled buildings. Among these buildings are included the Toronto Storage utilities.

The Toronto Storage spaces are available in different sizes: small, medium, large, and extra-large. Special well-sheltered, clean, and spacious units for parking trucks, buses, cars, boat, yacht, and other vehicles also exist. Rest assured that your vehicle will be protected from the vagaries of the weather and from all damages. If you wish to ascertain how much space you require, you can either use the online storage calculators or ask the experienced staff of the warehouses. The online calculators require you to fill details like the number of items you wish to store as per pre-defined categories to find the size of Toronto self storage you might require.

Mobile Storage is an innovative concept in which containers are used by the Toronto Storage service providers to move and store the things. Then it is moved to the warehouse and kept safely in climate controlled environment. Whenever the stored items are required, the container is sent back as it was. So, the frequent loading and unloading is prevented. You only need to load and unload once. Actually, this concept removes the transportation dimension from the storage process and also saves on the costs.

The Toronto Storage Units are usually located in the city center, close to the railway junctions and airports, at points of trans-shipment and on the outskirts of the Toronto city. The usual trend is to store fast moving and perishable items close to the city and hazardous, voluminous materials out of the city. Where the mode of transport changes, i.e., from water to rail/road, or, rail/road to airport, the storing spaces are built to store goods that are being transported.

Security is vital to storage business and is the single most important factor in winning over a customer. Nowadays, the Toronto Storage facilities are armed with state-of-the-art security systems for protection against theft, sabotage, short-circuiting and fire, and mala-fide intentions. Although crime rate in Toronto is less, the storage owners generally maintain high security standards. Proper lighting, alarms, guards, computerized access controls, CCTVs, etc. are commonly used in these units.

Whatever the purpose of your travel to the busiest city in Canada, a breezy experience is most needed. You wouldn’t want to stay any longer among the sea of hurrying people, the omnipotent voice announcing flights and calling passengers, or those expensive services available at the airport. Sure, these could be interesting sights and sounds, but if you’re short in time, you need to get going. Once you get off the bustle at the airport building, your ride should be out there waiting to take you to your destination. That is why choosing from among the services of an airport taxi Toronto is important.

Once you know you’re heading to Toronto, it’s best to go online and look ahead on your options for airport transportation. You could always go online and search for available vehicles, and know their costs as well. There are shuttles that are mostly provided by hotels where you’re booked, and there are also car rental and limo services which you have to personally book in advance. Then there are taxis, metered and charging according to the distance you travel. When it comes to airport taxi Toronto never runs out of such services as you’d find them queuing all hours of the day. But it’s wiser to book ahead because the cabbie will expect to meet you, and help you out with the luggage and your load. You need not line up with other passengers in the waiting area to get a taxi, but instead, get your ride parked conveniently in a designated area for hired taxis.

Finding the best among the services of airport taxi Toronto has in the area is easy as well. They provide contact details in their websites, so you could simply email your inquiries about their services. You could also call their office and ask for rates, packages and other specific arrangements which you need to make. It is important to note as well the payment details of each cab company. Getting a taxi service can sure bring comfort to your first few hours in Toronto. Instead of being stressed in finding transportation, you will find yourself exploring the points of interest of the city. As the cab driver knows the streets, landmarks and routes to take, you’d be taken on an adventure around Toronto. It would be like going on a moving tour with the driver as your guide.

Toronto is one of North America’s greatest cities. It offers architectural beauty, highly developed culture and a cosmopolitan quality of life. It is also the home to numerous institutions of higher education, both public and private. Toronto’s public and private colleges offer a tremendous variety of experiences and opportunities. Here is a quick run-down of some basic differences between Toronto’s private and public colleges.

The University of Toronto is Canada’s largest university and offers a very broad range of courses in the humanities and social and physical sciences, as well as professional programs in medicine, engineering, architecture, dentistry, social work and teaching. The U of T conducts many research programs and boasts a world-class medical facility.

York University is a smaller liberal arts institution with a long history dating back to 1859. Ryerson is Canada’s only polytechnic institution, offering notable journalism, multimedia and business programs as well as programs in fields like the Applied Arts or Engineering. Public schools in Toronto are relatively affordable, costing around $12,000 to $17,000 Canadian dollars per year for a non-international student living away from home. Toronto’s public schools all offer financial aid and scholarships to high achieving and/or financially needy students.

Toronto is home to dozens of private schools offering an immense variety of experiences, knowledge and training. Unlike their public counterparts, Toronto’s private schools tend to be smaller and more oriented toward specific types of career training.
In the last few years, some of Toronto’s smaller private schools have come under fire for misleading international students into attending what students thought were high quality programs with attractive campuses, only to find shabby buildings and sub-par course offerings. Though some of Toronto’s small private schools fall into this low class, many don’t.

Tuition at Toronto’s private college varies greatly depending on which college. Toronto’s institutions of religious education such as Master’s College and Seminary or Tyndale College and Seminary tend to cost the least, about 8,000 Canadian dollars per year for residents. Other schools, such as George Brown University, which focuses on career training and offers only a few bachelors’ programs cost upwards of 5,000 Canadian dollars per semester.

The ultimate difference between Toronto’s public and private schools has to do with the type of experience offered to students. If you want to attend a large school, with lots of young students living on-campus, experiencing an academic community and choosing from a vast array of educational opportunities, sports teams, concerts, clubs and social events, then you would probably appreciate a public college. If you are interested in vocational or career training, continuing education or a religious certification, then you would be best served by a private school.

Toronto is one of the most sought after tourist destinations. When it comes to vacation hot spots few people think of Toronto, but with all that there is to see and do in this wonderful city, it won’t be long before it’s considered one of the best vacation destinations in the world. Before you decide on another hot spot to take this year’s trip, take a look at some of the incredible things that the city of Toronto has to offer, these are some of the ‘can’t miss’ spots to visit on your vacation:

The Waterfront: Though the Toronto Harbor is still being developed, it’s easily one of the brightest spots in the city. You could spend a day (or) night aboard one of Toronto Harbor’s many amazing cruises. Depending on the time of year you decide to visit, you may be able to catch one of the holiday themed cruises, like a costume party at Halloween or an incredible fireworks display for Independence Day, or all through the year romantic, semi-private dinner cruises is available with attentive staffs and world class cuisine.

The Zoo: With more than five thousand animals to see and incredible interactive displays, the Toronto Zoo is one of the top animal education and entertainment destinations in North America. The Toronto Zoo is an incredibly entertaining experience for the entire family, which makes it an absolute must for vacations.

The CN Tower: The CN Tower features the world’s tallest observation deck and a one of a kind experience for diners in the rotating restaurant. There’s a reason this landmark gets in excess of two million visitors a year, it has four observation decks from which you can get four different majestic vantage points of the beautiful city. The CN Tower could be the most recognizable landmark in Canada and with how centrally located, an easy to access it is right in the center of downtown Toronto , there is no reason at all to miss it on a vacation to Canada.

The Ontario Science Centre: This is not only the best interactive museum in all of Canada; it’s probably the best interactive museum in the entire world. You could literally spend your entire week vacation in the Ontario Science Centre and still not get to experience everything this wonderland of learning has to offer.

The Eaton Centre: If shopping is your passion, the Eaton Centre absolutely can’t be missed. The Eaton Centre is packed with more than three hundred stores and eateries and houses almost twenty cinemas and a luxury hotel. Just as the Science Centre is arguably the best interactive museum in the world, the Eaton Centre is arguably the world’s best shopping experience.

Toronto has everything when it comes to the available cuisines; for instance, the Toronto Restaurants can provide their customers with international menus and the whole dining experience will thus be transformed into a memorable and pleasant one. The restaurants of this city can be categorized by using their cuisines and prices but they can also be considered according to their main features and presentation. Most of the Toronto restaurants will serve seafood, chicken, catfish, steaks and other delicacies that may be very tempting for almost every visitor and food lover.

The menus are prepared in order to meet all the demands coming from the visitors and clients and one of the most attracting features of these restaurants is the fact that kids’ menus are also available. These kids’ menus are comprehensive enough thus transforming the restaurant into a family type one; the restaurants have focused their attention ion these special kid’s menu thus becoming a true family delight.

These patterns were transformed in order to become real and unique selling propositions that may be very tempting for every customer. For instance, one may discover that there are many restaurants that are mixing the traditionalfeatures with the more modern ones; one may also experience the quite classy fusion that combines the supper club vibe with the rustic cuisine. Creative dishes have been designed in order to attract more customers to a particular restaurant; one may also take into account that reservations may not be highly necessary when planning to dine at a Restaurant Toronto.

These reservations are not to be regarded as the main norm because you can actually dine at a restaurant without needing them. People can get seats quite promptly without having to worry about priorreservations. But if you want to avoid the constant worries especially when there a lot of people in town, you may consider these reservations in order to avoid the mad rush; therefore, the reservations can be used as a sort of safer bets in order to make sure you are going to dine at your favorite restaurant.

Toronto is famous for its restaurants, fine cuisine and casual eateries; classis ambience and multiple cuisines are mixed in this city and this mixture s likely to satisfy everyone’s taste buds because it was created in order to address various demands. Every food lover will be delighted to discover the restaurants from Toronto because this city has a lot to offer to each of its potential visitors.

Buying a condominium seems like the perfect thing to do when you live in a city like Toronto. Single family stand alone units in big cities like Toronto are often incredibly expensive, and come with all the hassle of upkeep and property taxes. Houses in the suburbs come with the same concerns, and although they might be less expensive they tend to cause more aggravation, especially for people who need to get into the city frequently for work or even for entertainment. There are several things that all buyers should keep in mind when it comes to purchasing a condo in Toronto.

Often condominiums are bought with the idea that they are good starter homes, and that when the purchaser is ready he or she will move out and buy a suitable family home. There is debate within the real estate market, though, about how close to truth this concept really is.Condos are not usually cheap, although they may be less expensive than a single stand alone dwelling in the same neighbourhood. In order for your purchase to be considered a good investment, it has to rise in value and keep pace with houses outside of the city, so you will have the equity you need when the time comes to upgrade. Condos, however, are not noted for their resaleability. Just drive around the city and see how many new developments are going up. This trend is bound to continue, and that means that you will always be competing with newer units in the same area when it comes time to sell.

One big draw for a lot of condo purchasers is the leisure facilities provided in the building. In large part, these are what your membership fees will go towards. It is important to consider realistically if and how often you will be using the facilities yourself. If you buy in a building because of the great fitness and pool facilities, you will have to use them the entire time you live there or else the fees just are not worthwhile. It is not the same as getting a gym membership and then deciding not to go anymore; you have to pay membership fees regardless of the frequency with which you use the facilities.

One of the great things about a big city like Toronto is that you can find a condo in just about any neighbourhood you want. If you lean towards historical parts of town, hot spots, ethnic enclaves, artsy districts, entertainment or financial areas as the places you are most likely to be found, you can find a development close by. No more long trips, all you have to do is walk down the street to find your favourite pastime. Alternatively, if you prefer a quieter location still within reach of the city, there are neighbourhoods like The Beaches that offer a casual atmosphere just a little way out of the action of downtown.

If you are looking for a way to spend time in Toronto, the possibilities are endless. Toronto, the largest city in Canada, has many different museums, theatres, galleries, exhibits, musical venues, sporting events, and more. If you are interested in attending one of the many different festivals that Toronto offers, there is sure to be one to fit your interests.

There have been several Broadway theatrical hits that originated in Toronto, and there are many different theatrical venues to choose from, such as the historic Canon Theatre. This theatre has 2295 seats, with mezzanine, orchestra, and box seats. Or perhaps you’d prefer the more modern Princess of Wales Theatre? Theatres such as the Factory Theatre and Theatre Passe Muraille produce distinctly Canadian theatre and support local artists. The annual Toronto Fringe Festival, featuring plays by unknown or well-known artists in theatres across Toronto, is a great time to be in Toronto.

If you are more interested in live music, Toronto has been the home for many successful pop, rock, and hip hop artists. The Queen Street West area, part of the Entertainment District of Toronto is well known for its live music scene. Many acts play at venues such as The Opera House, Lee’s Palace, The Mod Club, and Kool Haus, whereas larger concerts are booked into places such as the Air Canada Centre, the Rogers Centre, and the Molson Amphitheatre. It is also a great idea to visit the Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the annual Toronto International Art Fair for an exciting look at the arts of Toronto.

If you enjoy watching sports, Toronto has multiple sports venues for many different sports teams. The Toronto Argonauts (Canadian Football League), Toronto Maple Leafs (National Hockey League), Toronto Blue Jays (Major League Baseball), Toronto Raptors (National Basketball Association), Toronto Lynx (United Soccer Leagues First Division), Toronto Rock (National Lacrosse League), Toronto Marlies (American Hockey League), and the Toronto FC (Major League Soccer) are all major sports teams in Toronto. The major sporting venues in Toronto include the Air Canada Centre, Maple Leaf Gardens, and the Rogers Centre.
